New Delhi. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) team has arrested Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in a case of alleged liquor policy scam after questioning and searching him at his official residence on Thursday evening and brought him to its office on Abdul Kalam Road on A.P.J. . The ED team brought the CM from his residence to the office of the financial investigation agency at 11 pm. A large number of policemen have been deployed around the agency’s office and barricades have been installed around it. Prohibitory orders have also been imposed in the entire area.
ED source said that Kejriwal will remain in ED lockup on Thursday night. The investigators can interrogate him (Kejriwal) further. After medical examination, he will be presented in court on Friday. After the medical, ED officers had asked Arvind Kejriwal whether he would like to eat something or take hot water, but he refused to take anything. It is being told that the medical team had also asked Arvind Kejriwal if he would like to eat something, but at that time too he had refused to take anything. However, it is being told that the medical report of Arvind Kejriwal has come normal.
Who is in the lockup next to Kejriwal? What did CM Arvind leave home with after ED’s arrest?
It is being told that before his arrest, Arvind Kejriwal had left the house after eating vegetables and four rotis. According to sources, the legal team of ED is also preparing the remand application to be presented in the court to get the custody of Kejriwal. Earlier in the day, the Chief Minister was arrested hours after the Delhi High Court rejected Kejriwal’s plea seeking protection from ‘coercive action’.
Now what will happen to Kejriwal next? Will CM Arvind adopt Sanjay Singh’s formula or else…
The investigating agency had repeatedly sent summons to him, but he was not appearing. He has not yet received any relief even from the Supreme Court. In this alleged scam, till now BRS MLA K. After Kavita, former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and AAP RS member Sanjay Singh, among others, were arrested, Kejriwal’s turn came.
