Bettiah. A shocking news has come to light from Bihar’s West Champaran district where the police has made a shocking revelation by identifying the body recovered from a flowing canal in 6 pieces. The body has been identified as the 19-year-old daughter of Virendra Sah, a resident of Chuhdi village of Chanpatia police station area. According to the police, Virendra committed the crime after being upset with his daughter’s love affair. Bettiah SDPO Vivek Deep said that the police have arrested the accused father and another accused involved in the incident.
Let us tell you that on Sunday late evening, on the information of the villagers, the police recovered a headless body cut into 6 pieces from a plastic bag from a canal flowing near Mohaddipur Mir Tola under Majhauliya police station area. After conducting the post-mortem of the body, the police registered a case of murder against unknown criminals and was engaged in the investigation of the case. During this time, the police received information that a daughter of Virendra Sah, a resident of Chuhdi village of Chanpatia police station area, is missing. After this, the investigation proceeded further.
Virendra told the police that he had arranged his daughter’s marriage. The wedding was to take place in November 2024, but his daughter was in love with a young man from Uttar Pradesh. He told that the young man used to live on rent in his brother’s house and sell golgappa in Chuhdi Bazaar. Even after the family tried to convince her, his daughter was adamant on marrying the same young man.
Virendra told that he explained to his daughter many times. He rebuked her on 22nd July. But instead of understanding, the girl went home and committed suicide by hanging herself. Virendra also told the police that after the incident, he called Prabhu Sah of his village from Gorakhpur to dispose of the body.
SDPO Vivek Deep said that Prabhu Sah sells fruits while living in Gorakhpur. Earlier he used to do fish business while living in the village. Prabhu Sah told the police that a deal was struck for Rs 8,500 to dispose of the body. He also got Rs 500 as advance and was asked to pay the remaining amount within a week.
Prabhu Sah told the police that he took the body to the canal located south of the village and cut it into 6 pieces using a fish cutter. After this, it was put in a plastic bag and thrown into the canal. Apart from him, 6 to 7 people from Virendra’s family were involved in this work. After throwing the body into the canal, everyone went to their respective homes.
