When will Jammu and Kashmir become a full state? Modi government minister gave indications, told what preparations the government is making

Srinagar. On 5 August 2019, the central government divided Jammu and Kashmir into two parts. Both were made union territories. All political parties including Congress are demanding full statehood for Jammu and Kashmir. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah have said many times that Jammu and Kashmir will soon get full statehood. But no one told the time. Now Modi government minister Ramdas Athawale has indicated when Jammu and Kashmir will get full statehood. On the other hand, National Conference President Farooq Abdullah said that the visit of the Election Commission team to Jammu and Kashmir shows that the central government is ready to conduct elections here.

Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Athawale, who reached Srinagar, said, Assembly elections in Maharashtra, Haryana and Jharkhand are likely to be held in October. Therefore, the announcement of restoring the status of a full state to Jammu and Kashmir can be made at that time. It is possible that assembly elections here may also be held in October.

Athawale appealed to the people to come out in large numbers to vote when the elections are held. The Union Minister said, I congratulate the people of Jammu and Kashmir for voting in large numbers in the parliamentary elections. Jammu and Kashmir is making good progress and there should be record-breaking voting in the assembly elections. The President of the Republic Party of India also announced that his party will field 10-15 candidates during the assembly elections in this state.

On the other hand, National Conference President Farooq Abdullah said, if they were not ready for the assembly elections, I do not think the Prime Minister or the Home Minister and all other ministers would have announced that elections would be held. In response to a question about the Centre’s preparations to conduct the assembly elections, Abdullah said, if they were not ready, they would not have said so and that is why the Election Commission team is coming. Let us tell you that a team of the Election Commission led by Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar has arrived to take stock of the election preparations. The Supreme Court has directed the Central Government to complete the election process by September 30.
