Rohit Sharma: The great match between India and Pakistan will be played on the ground of New York on 9 June in the T20 World Cup. The eyes of the whole world are fixed on this match. Whenever there is a match between India and Pakistan, the fans get very excited. In the T20 World Cup 2024, the Indian team won against Ireland. In this match, Rishabh Pant came to bat at number three. Now before the match against Pakistan, Indian captain Rohit Sharma has said a big thing.
Rohit Sharma said this
Indian captain Rohit Sharma said that this is the World Cup so nothing can be bigger than this. The interest of the team comes before injury. The Mumbai player indicated that Pant will continue to bat at number three as he did against Ireland. He said, “I had to watch Rishabh in a few matches in the IPL to decide where he will bat in the World Cup.” The Indian team has always proved strong against Pakistan in the World Cup but Rohit does not want to give much importance to the past record.
Rohit Sharma said that there is no extra pressure on the team as they are taking it like any other match. Nothing has changed. We have played against them in the Asia Cup and (ODI) World Cup seven months ago. But in T20 you cannot predict anything. The course of the game can change anytime here. In the last World Cup, Pakistan lost to Zimbabwe but played the final. If it is your day, anyone can beat anyone.
India has won the title once
A total of 7 matches have been played between India and Pakistan in the history of T20 World Cup, out of which the Indian team has won 6 times. Whereas the Pakistani team has been successful in winning the match only once. The Indian team won the T20 World Cup 2007 title by defeating the Pakistani team. Mahendra Singh Dhoni was the captain of Team India then. But since then Team India has not been able to win this trophy.
