Benefits of Gram Flour: Our country mainly consumes carbohydrate-rich foods in large quantities while consuming protein-rich foods in small quantities. This is the reason why most people in the country have fat around their stomachs. On the other hand, consuming more carbohydrates also increases the risk of increasing blood sugar and cholesterol. This also causes problems for the heart and kidneys. Obesity is also a major reason for this. Here carbohydrates mean consuming more rice, wheat flour, refined flour, semolina, sugar, sweets, potatoes, fast food, processed food, etc. These contain more carbohydrates while they contain less protein. An adult needs 50 to 60 grams of protein every day, but very few people are able to consume this much protein. However, the reality is that we have many cheap sources of protein, by consuming which we can fulfill the protein deficiency. After all, what is that thing that can fulfill this deficiency. On this subject, we talked to the Chief Clinical Nutritionist of Apollo Hospital, Bangalore. Dr. Priyanka Rohatgi talked to.
Mix this thing in the flour
Dr. Priyanka Rohatgi told that there are many cheap sources of protein by consuming which we can reduce the amount of carbohydrates. If you reduce the intake of carbohydrates, it will keep your blood sugar under control and the risk of increasing bad cholesterol will also be reduced. Dr. Priyanka told that we can meet the deficiency of protein by increasing the intake of lentils, gram lentils, chickpeas, beans, seeds etc. But even a small change can reduce the carbohydrates in your daily diet and increase the amount of protein. For this, add gram flour to your wheat flour every day. Gram flour is a flour prepared from gram which is a treasure of protein. You can estimate the protein in it from the fact that you can get 14 grams of protein from 164 grams of gram. Since you will not like dishes made entirely of gram flour every day, so you can add gram flour little by little to the wheat flour and make rotis from it.
