Let us tell you that for the first time BJP is going to form the government in Odisha. Earlier, Biju Janata Dal was in power here for 24 consecutive years and Naveen Patnaik was the Chief Minister. But this time the people of Odisha changed the power and gave BJP a majority of 78 seats out of 147 assembly seats. BJD, which was in power for 24 years, could win only 51 seats while Congress got only 14 seats. Communist Party of India-Marxist got 1 seat and 3 seats went to the account of independent candidates.
