New Delhi. Devbhoomi Uttarakhand’s Joshimath is in news these days, along with this there is a lot of anger among the local people against the government for ignoring warnings about cracks in a large number of buildings due to large-scale construction activities going on in Joshimath. Is. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami visited Joshimath on Saturday to take stock of the situation at the ground level amid growing concern and resentment of the people. On the other hand, NTPC, which came under attack for the construction work, said that the tunnel being constructed by it is not passing through Joshimath.
Let us tell you that while talking about this, NTPC said, “This tunnel has been constructed by tunnel boring machine. Also, at present no blasting work is being done at this time. NTPC said, “It would like to state with full responsibility that this tunnel of NTPC has nothing to do with the landslide happening in Joshimath city.” This letter was presented by NTPC on 5 January.
On the one hand, the crack in Joshimath has become a topic of discussion across the country, while on the other hand, local people are blaming the dangerous condition of the buildings, especially the Tapovan-Vishnugarh project of NTPC. Atul Sati, coordinator of the Joshimath Bachao Sangharsh Samiti, said, “We have been trying to attract the attention of the authorities for the last 14 months, but we have not been heeded. Now that the situation is getting out of hand, they are sending teams of experts to assess things.” ‘Permanent solution should be found’ He said, “Had our point been taken care of in time, the situation in Joshimath would not have become so complicated.”
