Nagpur. Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut has given a big reaction to the question of Uddhav Thackeray becoming the Prime Minister. In response to a question, he said that the prominent people of all the parties are included in the ‘India’ Alliance and only they will decide the name of the PM. Raut said, “Why can’t Uddhav Thackeray be an option? He has been the Chief Minister of Maharashtra and is a good face. There are many faces in the ‘India’ alliance, Uddhav Thackeray is one of them.”
Sanjay Raut further said, “If we get the responsibility of leading the country, we will welcome it. Congress is the largest party in the ‘India’ Alliance. Along with this, there are other parties which are contesting elections in their respective states. They also have leaders. In such a situation, it is no longer a question of who will lead, the dictatorship has to be defeated.”
On the other hand, Congress leader Prithviraj Chavan said that after winning the elections, the MPs will decide who will become the Prime Minister from the ‘India’ alliance. He said, “The ‘India’ alliance has not decided any candidate for the post of PM, when we get majority, we will sit and choose the leader. Anyone can hope, but these rights are the rights of the elected MPs, whoever they choose will be the PM. It is not right to speak about any person, first let us win the elections, after that we will choose our leader.”
On the statement of Congress leader Nana Patole, Sanjay Raut said that do not pay too much attention to his words. He said, “We have good relations with Rahul Gandhi. This is not a fight for the post of Prime Minister. Congress people are not able to understand this. Rahul Gandhi is the leader of the country. If Rahul Gandhi wants to become PM, he is welcome, but there are other faces. There are Mamta Banerjee, Mallikarjun Kharge, Akhilesh Yadav, Uddhav Thackeray in this race. Taking someone’s name is not a crime. If someone takes the name of our party leader, what is wrong in that?”
