Earlier, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had written a letter to Delhi’s Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena regarding this matter in which he had said that in my absence, this time Delhi government minister Atishi will hoist the flag at Chhatrasal Stadium. Let us tell you that every year on the occasion of 15th August in Delhi, a program is organized by the state government in Chhatrasal Stadium in which the Chief Minister hoists the flag. Now since Kejriwal is in jail, he has handed over this responsibility to Atishi.
It is worth noting that Arvind Kejriwal has filed his bail plea in the Supreme Court today. He has challenged his arrest by the CBI. Earlier, Kejriwal had got bail from the Supreme Court in the ED arrest case, but due to the CBI case, he could not come out of jail. Recently, the Delhi High Court rejected Kejriwal’s bail plea in the CBI case, now challenging the High Court order, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has knocked the door of the apex court.
