Sheikh Hasina: Former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will probably stay in India for some time. Because her plan to go to Britain is not being implemented yet. Some technical hurdles have arisen regarding her visit to Britain. Sheikh Hasina was forced to flee Bangladesh after violent protests against her government. Sheikh Hasina arrived in India on Monday (August 5).

The former prime minister had reportedly planned to seek asylum in the UK along with her sister, where her family members live. However, according to the country’s immigration rules, asylum requests can only be processed if a person is in the UK and Hasina does not have a visa to travel there.

Some ministers also came along
After the violent uprising against the Awami League government, some members (ministers) of Sheikh Hasina’s cabinet also fled with the former Prime Minister and came to India in the same plane. All these ministers also came with their former government head in a hurry. Because they were afraid that the people of Bangladesh could do anything to them in the violent uprising. This team that reached India with Sheikh Hasina was in complete trouble because the crowd had also entered the Prime Minister’s residence. Now that a new government has been formed in the country, they are returning to Bangladesh. So that they can go there and take stock of the situation. However, all of them will stay in safe places for the time being after returning to Bangladesh. However, some sources are saying that these ministers who came with Sheikh Hasina have left for unknown places abroad.

Haseena is living in a safe house
Sheikh Hasina, along with her sister Sheikh Rehana and some of her close aides, came to India on Monday in an army Hercules aircraft. They landed at Hindon airbase in Ghaziabad near Delhi and are staying in a safe house. Six army officers had accompanied Sheikh Hasina to India for her security. A day after ensuring her safety, they returned in a Hercules aircraft. One of the reasons for the members of the Hasina government leaving India is that the ousted prime minister is considering the option of which country she will take refuge in.
