Accused of taking ‘betel nut’ on these 5 seats
In ‘Aap ki Adalat’, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy alleged that BRS people have ‘taken a contract’ to work for BJP on the seats of ‘Mahabubnagar, Chevella, Zaheerabad, Bhongir and Malkajgiri’. In fact, Reddy BRS leader K.T. He was responding to Rama Rao’s allegation that the Chief Minister may join BJP after the Lok Sabha elections. Revanth Reddy said, ‘If I had been hungry for power, I would have joined his party (BRS) in 2014. Or I could have joined BJP in 2017. I myself worked hard, contested the elections in my own name and after winning the elections I became the Chief Minister. I did not become CM on anyone’s mercy or in the name of my father or grandfather. I became the Chief Minister by working hard.
“KTR will not be able to become even a peon without his father’s name.”
Telangana CM Reddy further said, ‘What does KTR have to do with this? He got the job through management quota in his father’s name. He will not be able to become a peon without his father’s name. Meanwhile, the Chief Minister of Telangana termed the arrest of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal as ‘illegal’. He said, ‘People of the entire country are watching what happened. (Delhi Liquor) case has been going on for 2 years. He was arrested at the time of elections because BJP was afraid of losing the elections. What difference would it have made if he had been arrested after 2 months? Two sitting chief ministers were arrested after the election schedule was announced. If there is evidence in the case then why was ED silent for two years?
