Dr. Richa Pyare told that this problem is more common after the age of 30. There are many reasons for this. Such as more pollution, excessive use of screen light from TV, mobile, gadgets etc. When someone’s eyes start watering excessively, a burning sensation starts appearing in the eyes. In this situation, there is more trouble in airplanes, air conditioned rooms, while riding a bike and while looking at the computer or screen. Dr. Richa Pyare told that the rays emanating from the screen affect the lubricants of the eyes due to which extra water has to be brought from the tear glands to compensate for this deficiency. At the same time, if there is strain in the eyes or sinus problem or common cold or allergy, then excessive watering can occur from the eyes. Apart from this, excessive watering of eyes also occurs due to infection, swelling, injury, use of some medicines etc.
What are its symptoms?
When excessive watering starts coming from the eyes then the eyes start feeling burning sensation. Eyes start itching. Mucus starts forming around the eyes. Apart from this, when you look towards the light, it will cause sensation in the eyes. Eyes start turning red. There is trouble while riding a motorcycle at night. Eyes become blurry and eyes get tired. Eyes start hurting.
how to get rid of it
Dr. Richa told that to keep the eyes away from the problem of water, the lifestyle will have to be corrected. Physical activity is also important for the eyes. The more you walk in greenery, the more benefit you will get when your eyes start watering. Apart from this, wash the eyes with normal water two-three times a day. Do not keep staring continuously at the computer or mobile screen. Keep your eyes away from the screen occasionally. 20-20-20 formula is best for eye health. For this, if you are using a computer then work on the screen for 20 minutes. After this, look at anything up to a distance of 20 meters for 20 seconds. If you can see greenery then it will be even better. Consume more green vegetables.
