The Gwalior bench of the Madhya Pradesh High Court has given a very important order in the case of sexual harassment with a woman at the Kendriya Vidyalaya in Bhind district. The court has directed the Visakha Committee to investigate serious allegations of sexual harassment against the woman’s school principal. The internal committee of the school will consult the complaint lodged by the female teacher. Then, on the basis of all the facts that will be revealed in the final report, action will be taken under the law and all the people related to the case will be given an opportunity to present their case.
The case is from Bhind district of Gwalior Chambal division, where a teacher of Kendriya Vidyalaya has made serious allegations of sexual harassment against the principal of the school Ajay Kumar Saxena. Earlier, the female teacher had complained to the principal to Bhind Collector, Superintendent of Police and Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan Bhopal. When no action was seen against the principal, the female teacher filed a petition in the High Court. The lawyer of the female teacher had said in a petition filed in the High Court- Ajay Kumar Saxena, Principal of Kendriya Vidyalaya, pressures the female teacher of the school and says that you live alone in a rented house, why don’t you live with me?

In the petition filed by the female teacher, the Principal of Kendriya Vidyalaya was made a defendant, but no one appeared in the court to present her side. After this, the case will be heard by Visakha Committee. During this time, both sides will be heard and after thorough investigation, legal action will be taken against the convict.
The Visakha Committee was established in 1997 by the Supreme Court. The main objective of the Visakha Committee is to take full care of the complaints of girl students and women employees in the campus. Its purpose is to protect the rights of women girl students and women employees and maintain healthy and safe environment for girls and women employees.
