New Delhi. Bangladesh was so engulfed in the fire of violence that its Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina not only had to leave her post, but she was also forced to flee from there. After this, the army took over the reins of the country. This is not the first incident of coup in the last few years. The world has seen this happen in Afghanistan and Sri Lanka as well. There are many aspects behind this, the brunt of which has to be borne by the entire country. Other countries also need to learn a lesson from this, so that such anarchist elements cannot raise their heads there.
The student movement that started against reservation in Bangladesh grew so much that Sheikh Hasina had to leave power and flee the country. She reached India and was seen pleading for asylum from many countries. But, do not think that whatever has happened in Bangladesh is limited to Bangladesh only because, this happens when the American deep state, China and Pakistan along with many other terrorist forces intervene in a country. The best example of this before this is the coup in Afghanistan and Sri Lanka.
The democratically elected government of Sheikh Hasina would not have even imagined that following the path of Pakistan, there would also be a coup plot at the behest of the army and that too under the guise of a student movement, in which the terrorist forces of the country would also be involved.
It can be dangerous for us to think that this movement seen in Bangladesh is limited to Bangladesh only because when western countries interfere in the democracy of other countries, it has such an effect. Sheikh Hasina was elected to power there for the fourth time through a democratic election process.
But, Begum Khaleda Zia’s party Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and Bangladesh’s banned militant organization Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen, Jamaat-e-Islami were not able to digest this and then the way they got support from the American deep state, China and Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI, the pictures of the same are visible in Bangladesh.
The meaning was clear that those who could not come to power there, staged a coup with the help of separatism, violence, anarchy and the army and they got a lot of support from other countries too. In which they got support from the American deep state, Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI, many terrorist organizations of Pakistan, and even the communist parties of China.
Sheikh Hasina was taking Bangladesh forward on the path of development under the principle of ‘Nation First’ without caring about America and China, due to which Bangladesh was in a better position in terms of ‘development and happiness’ compared to many countries of Asia, which was not liked at all by many forces including America and China and Pakistan.
Super power America had asked for land for an airbase in Bangladesh and Sheikh Hasina had refused. America was angry with this and wanted Hasina to lose the Bangladesh elections. But, this did not happen and now America felt that things had slipped out of their hands and they started supporting the fact that Hasina had conducted the elections in an undemocratic manner.
Whereas, the same America came forward to topple the elected government of Imran Khan in Pakistan and form the government of Shahbaz Sharif with the help of the army and is serving its own interests by forming Shahbaz’s government there. In such a situation, it sees democracy in Pakistan and everything in Bangladesh is undemocratic.
Sheikh Hasina improved her relations with both India and China during her two-decade tenure. She was also moving on the path of ‘free trade’ with India, but China wanted land for BRE in Bangladesh. Hasina was not ready for this, and thus she angered China as well. In such a situation, Hasina was cornered on the domestic front, on the front of Islamic radicalism, and also became a thorn in the eyes of foreign super powers.
Regarding what happened in Bangladesh, America even said that people should be allowed to protest peacefully. But the way people came out on the streets of Dhaka and were held hostage, violence took place on the streets. Radical Islamic forces were seen demonstrating their capabilities on the streets.
The murders of several political leaders and the burning of houses of important people do not seem to be peaceful protests at all and no one knows what the US intelligence agency CIA is doing about this. This does not seem to be a student movement in any way, rather it is a kind of orgy of radical Islamic forces on the streets there.
Seeing these forces on the streets, does it seem that they respect the institutions there? In such a situation, it will also have to be seen who is returning to power after this coup, who had lost in the elections conducted through the democratic process there.
Situations can be similar in India as well, so we need to be careful and cautious and think. Because the day these western countries enter our country in the name of protecting democracy, we need to learn a lesson from Bangladesh about what happened to them. Our politicians go outside the country and say that America and other western countries should intervene to protect democracy in India. Along with this, we have to see whether by seeing differences in the states, by dividing ourselves on caste lines, we are becoming puppets in the hands of those political forces who could not come to power by winning elections and had to face defeat in the elections conducted through democratic process.
The way in which some parties gave a different color to the entire election system by showing fear of ‘reservation will end’ and ‘constitution will be changed’ in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, are those forces trying to create a situation like Bangladesh in the country. Thirdly, the way some political parties of the country are scaring the minorities in the name of religion and creating divisions among the majority castes and inciting them for a movement in the name of reservation, caste census and share. Are they trying to capture power here too by carrying out a coup like in Bangladesh.
The way protests were started in the country in the last ten years, the way roads were blocked in the name of CAA, more than 50 people lost their lives in riots in Delhi. The way peaceful protests were made violent by supporting them in the name of farmers’ movement. The way protesters created a ruckus on the ramparts of the Red Fort. The way the Khalistani flag was hoisted on the Red Fort along with the tricolor.
The way efforts are being made to defame the institutions of the country and create a kind of fear in the minds of the people against it, is this an attempt to repeat the situation of Bangladesh here? Because, by looking at Bangladesh, we will have to learn whether the political forces that are saying about the intervention of Western powers in the country for the sake of democracy of the country are right?
Second, the pictures of such demonstrations that are coming out, do they support the institutions? Third, are they doing this only to sell the country to other forces? And lastly, such protesters have nothing to do with democratic values and elections, they only want to keep the power in their hands at any cost.
