A shocking case has come to light from Ghazipur district of Uttar Pradesh, where a divorced woman was trapped in love and made a victim of fake marriage and cheating through social media. The accused youth first described himself as a CBI officer and befriended the woman on Facebook and Instagram, then got married. After marriage, the woman came to know that the young man is already married and he along with his wife grabbed cash and jewelry from the woman. Police have registered a case on the victim’s complaint.
Social media became a crisis of cheating
The case is from Ghazipur Kotwali area, where a divorced woman working in a government department was identified through Facebook and Instagram from a young man named Amit Paswan. The young man described himself as a “CBI officer” from Vardhman district of West Bengal and a “CBI officer”. During a conversation on social media, the young man affected the woman and then proposed marriage.
Woman married under mental stress
The woman was struggling with loneliness and stress in her personal life. In such a situation, he came to the talk of Amit Paswan and accepted the proposal. Both got married on 27 March 2023. But a few days after the marriage, the woman came to know the painful truth that Amit is already married and his wife lives in Banda district.
Wife revealed, abused and threatened
When the woman approached the young man’s wife, she started quarreling with her and abusing herself as Amit’s legal wife. It was from here that the woman came to know that Amit and his wife Ram Janaki Devi have trapped many girls together and cheated them.
Fraud of cash and jewelery
The victim alleges that the accused couple took her in trust and grabbed her cash and precious jewelery. After this, when the woman broke the relationship with him, Amit and his wife called him and started threatening and abusing him. The woman has filed a report of this entire incident in Ghazipur Kotwali.
Police filed a case, investigation continues
The Ghazipur police has started investigation by registering an FIR against accused Amit Paswan and his wife Ram Janaki Devi on various sections on the basis of the victim’s tahrir. According to the police, the search for the accused is going on and some complaints have already been reported against them.
