A very shocking and heartbreaking case has come to light from Balrampur-Ramanujganj district of Chhattisgarh. Here a young man murdered his wife in Korwa Basti under Chanpur Panchayat of Kusami police station area just because he refused to have a physical relationship. The accused has been arrested by the police. He has been identified as Babua Korwa (25 years).
Four year old wedding, two innocent children
According to the information, the accused Babua Korwa was married four years ago to Dheli Bai of the village, who was the daughter of Madhu Korwa. The couple also have two young children. On Wednesday night, the parents of the accused and other family members went to a relative. The same night Babua returned home into a drunkenness and demanded a relationship with his wife.
Wife refuses, angry attack
Babua Korwa became uncontrollable with anger and started beating Dheli Bai. Hearing the screams, Dheli Bai’s father Madhu Korwa reached the spot with his younger brother Sadho and tried to convince the son-in-law. But the accused also quarreled with them. After this, the father -in -law and his brother beaten the accused and returned from there.
Stone on the wife’s head, saying “you beat me”
Babua’s anger increased after the in -laws left. He accused the wife that “you beat me” and then brutally beat her again. The accused also tried to forcibly make physical relations. When the wife again protested, she lifted the stone lying nearby and hit her on her head, causing Dheli Bai to die on the spot.
Sitting near wife’s body all night
After the murder, Babua wrapped the wife’s body with a blanket and sat near the body overnight. On Thursday morning, when the neighbors suspected something untoward, they informed Kotwar in the village. Kotwar immediately informed the police.
Accused arrested, police is investigating
After receiving the information, Kusmi police station in -charge Lalit Yadav along with the police team reached the spot and the accused Babua Korwa was arrested from the spot. The police have sent the body for postmortem and a detailed investigation into the case is going on. This case not only exposes the trend of domestic violence and intoxication, but also shows how the ignorant of women’s consent and angry cruel steps can ruin an entire family. Two innocent children lost their mother and now the father is behind bars. Such incidents in the society make them think about how sensitive we are towards the decision and respect of a woman.
