New Delhi. National Security Advisor Ajit Doval’s son Shaurya Doval is a banker turned politician. When asked if he would like to contest elections, Shaurya Doval said, I have never expressed the desire to contest elections, but if the party decides to field me in the elections, I am ready for it. Shaurya said, I left Britain in 2009 and returned to India with the idea of service. I established my organization ‘India Foundation’ and am serving the country through it.
When Shaurya was asked whether he did not get a chance in electoral politics because his father Ajit Doval is the National Security Advisor? On this, he jokingly said that maybe it could be because of my father, but obviously I did not get the ticket and that is why I did not contest the election. Shaurya Doval is currently a member of the State Working Committee of Uttarakhand BJP. He said that he never asked for a ticket from the party to contest elections.
On a question related to contesting elections, Shaurya Doval said, when I came to this area, I did not come from the perspective of politics. I came back to India in 2009 to establish ‘India Foundation’. I was asked by the party to go to Uttarakhand in 2018-19 and ultimately it is the party’s decision… you cannot take this decision.
Shaurya Doval said, generally the culture is that you work for yourself, but this culture is less in BJP than in other parties. They have their own thinking that which person is better for which work, there can be many reasons for this… It may be that I am not a good politician, or it may be that they are waiting for the right time. It may also be that there are better people than me and I have been kept for other works. I have not asked anything about the reason.
