New Delhi. Hemant Soren’s government in Jharkhand may be in trouble. It has been discussed for a long time that senior leader of Hemant Soren’s Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) and former CM Champai Soren can now join BJP. There is also a discussion that along with Champai Soren, many MLAs of JMM can also join BJP. Amidst these discussions, the latest news is that Champai Soren is going to meet senior BJP leaders in Delhi today. News agency IANS has given this news quoting sources.
Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren arrived in Kolkata late last night and checked into the Park Hotel. He met with BJP leaders late at night and is scheduled to depart for Delhi in the morning on Air India Flight 0769.

The news agency has quoted sources as saying that senior JMM leader and former Jharkhand CM Champai Soren reached Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal, on Saturday night and stayed at the Park Hotel there. According to sources, Champai Soren also met several BJP leaders late at night at the hotel itself. In such a situation, it is possible that Champai Soren may come to Delhi today and meet senior BJP leaders and join the party. However, it is not yet known whether any JMM MLA is also coming to Delhi with Champai Soren or not. When Jharkhand CM and JMM President Hemant Soren was arrested and sent to jail by the ED recently, Champai Soren was made the CM of Jharkhand. Recently, after getting bail, Hemant Soren removed Champai Soren from the post of CM of Jharkhand and took over the power again.
Champai Soren is a very senior tribal leader in JMM. If he joins BJP, it can be a big blow to Hemant Soren’s party JMM in the Jharkhand assembly elections to be held later this year. However, Champai Soren had recently smiled and avoided the question of joining BJP. He had then said that look, I am where I was.
