On the other hand, sodium in the body will start getting diluted due to this excess water. This will disturb the balance of fluids in the body. This will cause hyponatremia. Due to this the risk of sudden death will increase. Therefore, it is important to understand how much water you need.

Dr. Priyanka Rohatgi told that how much water a person needs daily depends on the kind of work he does, how much he weighs, whether he is a man or a woman and what is his age. People who exercise more, who are athletes, who live in hot regions, obviously need more water. Even if you are pregnant, you will need more water. At the same time, people who are sick and live in cold regions will need less water. According to the American National Academy of Science, Engineering and Medicine, men should take 15 cups or three and a half liters of fluid a day. That is, it also includes water and water obtained from other things such as juice or vegetable water. Whereas women need 2.7 liters of fluid daily. But this is not a fixed rule. Human condition determines the need for water. Generally, when a healthy person lacks water in his body, he feels thirsty and drinks water. Therefore the body itself knows when it should drink water.
