- Masks have been made mandatory in hospitals in Tamil Nadu from April 1. Doctors, nurses, medical staff, patients and visitors will have to wear masks at all times.

Vaccine of other company can also be used: SII
Serum Institute of India (SII) has written a letter to the Union Health Ministry. The company has sought inclusion of the COVID-19 vaccine Covax as a ‘heterologous’ booster dose for adults on the Covin portal. A ‘heterologous booster’ means that a person can be given a vaccine from another company in place of the first vaccine dose. On January 16, the DGCI approved the marketing of the COVID-19 vaccine Covax as a ‘heterologous’ booster dose for adults who have received both initial doses of Covishield or Covaxin. (PTI)
