The diplomatic passport of Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna, caught in a sex scandal, may be cancelled. In fact, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi in this regard. By writing this letter, Siddaramaiah has demanded PM Modi to cancel the diplomatic passport of Prajwal Revanna. Let us tell you that earlier the SIT investigating this case had also recommended to the Ministry of External Affairs to cancel the passport of Revanna, who was hiding abroad. Let us tell you that earlier on Monday, a court in Bengaluru in Karnataka had granted bail to senior Janata Dal (Secular) leader and former minister HD Revanna in the sexual harassment case.
Will Prajwal Revanna’s diplomatic passport be cancelled?
Let us tell you that in his letter to PM Modi, Siddaramaiah wrote that quick and concrete action should be taken to ensure the return of Prajwal Revanna to India. It is written in the letter, it is shameful that Prajwal Revanna fled the country to Germany using his diplomatic passport just hours before the first FIR was registered against him after the news of his heinous acts came to light on 27 April 2024. In such a situation, his diplomatic passport should be canceled. Let us tell you that Prajwal Revanna is currently hiding abroad away from India.
Court grants bail to HD Revanna
Earlier on Monday, Prajwal Revanna’s father HD Revanna was granted bail by the court in the sexual harassment case. The 42nd Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate’s court granted him interim relief. Judge Preet J refused to hear the objections of the SIT and ordered bail. Let us tell you that on April 28, a case was registered against HD Revanna and his son Prajwal Revanna for sexually assaulting a domestic help at Holenarasipura Town Police Station. In an effort to bring Prajwal Revanna back, an “Interpol Blue Corner” notice has been issued against Prajwal.
