New Delhi. Rahul Gandhi is going to take an important decision tomorrow i.e. on Monday. Rahul Gandhi will decide whether he will remain an MP from Kerala’s Wayanad seat or represent UP’s Rae Bareli seat in the Lok Sabha. Rahul Gandhi has won the Lok Sabha elections on both the seats, but till now he has not been able to decide about keeping Wayanad and Rae Bareli as his parliamentary constituencies. According to Congress sources, Rahul Gandhi has decided that he will tell by Monday whether he will remain an MP from Kerala’s Wayanad seat or Rae Bareli.
After winning the Lok Sabha elections, Rahul Gandhi has gone to Wayanad and Rae Bareli. In Rae Bareli, he said that he is in a dilemma as to which seat he should remain an MP from. However, he also said that everyone will be happy with his decision in this regard. If we look at the figures, Rahul Gandhi may have won the Lok Sabha elections by getting lakhs of votes from Wayanad and Rae Bareli, but this time he got fewer votes in the Lok Sabha seat of Kerala compared to the last time i.e. 2019. On the Wayanad seat, his main competition was with Annie Raja of CPI. At the same time, in Rae Bareli, Rahul Gandhi defeated Dinesh Pratap Singh of BJP.
Earlier, there were reports that even if Rahul Gandhi leaves the Wayanad seat, there will be an attempt to keep it with the Gandhi family. In such a situation, Congress can field Rahul Gandhi’s sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra in the Lok Sabha by-election. By doing this, Congress will not only be able to create another safe seat for the Gandhi family in the country, but the people of Wayanad will also get the message that Congress did not leave them after fulfilling its purpose. Anyway, there is not much time left now and Rahul Gandhi is going to make his decision about Wayanad and Rae Bareli public in a few hours.
