Robert Vadra, husband of Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi, has expressed his desire to contest from Amethi in view of the Lok Sabha elections. Speaking to news agency ANI, Robert Vadra said that the people of Amethi want someone from the Gandhi family to contest the elections from Amethi seat again. He said that the people of Amethi even want that if I enter politics, I should contest elections from Amethi Lok Sabha seat. The Gandhi family has worked hard for years in Rae Bareli, Amethi and Sultanpur. But the people of Amethi are fed up with the current MP (Smriti Irani). They feel that they have made a mistake by choosing him.
Will Robert Vadra contest elections from Amethi?
In this regard, Robert Vadra further said that the public again wants a member of the Gandhi family to win from here with huge votes. He said that I want that whoever the MP of Amethi is, he should not do politics and talk about the development and progress of the people there. The people of Amethi feel that they have made a mistake. Smriti Irani does not come and go in Amethi. She just wants to make noise, misuse her position and raise questions against the Gandhi family. When the people of Amethi feel that they made Smriti Irani win and Rahul Gandhi had to find some other Lok Sabha constituency. Now the people there want that the people of Gandhi family should contest the elections and they should win the public elections with an overwhelming majority.
What did Brajesh Pathak say?
On Robert Vadra’s statement, Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak said that we have not yet received any application in this regard in the Congress Party. If he has applied to Congress Party, then his mother-in-law (Sonia Gandhi) and brother-in-law (Rahul Gandhi) should know this. BJP has not received any application yet. Let us tell you that in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Smriti Irani had won the Amethi Lok Sabha seat. During this period, Rahul Gandhi had filed nomination for Lok Sabha from two seats. During this period, he lost from Amethi and won from Wayanad seat.
