According to Accuweather, 35 to 70 percent rain has been predicted from 10 am to 6 pm local time. The match is to be played from 10.30 am local time.
India reached the final without playing
If the match is interrupted due to rain, then an attempt will be made to conduct it for at least 5 to 10 overs. If this is not possible then the result will be decided through a super over. If this is also not possible then India will reach the final without playing. According to ICC rules, only the team which is on top in the group gets a chance to move ahead. In Super 8, India was on top in its group while England’s team secured a ticket to the semi-finals by finishing second.
