Ganderbal. National Conference (NC) President Farooq Abdullah said on Thursday that if the BJP loses the Lok Sabha elections, the new government will stop using electronic voting machines (EVMs) in the elections. Abdullah said EVMs were not being used anywhere else in the world, but “here it has been imposed on us.”
The former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir said, ‘Inshallah (Allah willing), if a new government comes to power in Delhi, these machines will be thrown into the river.’ Addressing a public meeting in Central Kashmir district here, Abdullah said, ‘These machines are machines of theft. When you vote, make sure whether there is sound or not, whether the light is on or not. If you do not see the light burning then ask the officials present there. Don’t be afraid. Also check the VVPAT to see whether your vote has been cast on the NC symbol or not.
The idea came from OTT, the nephew who was going with the girl was picked up from the dhaba, such a scandal was done, the soul of the family shuddered.
The NC president was campaigning for his party’s candidate from Srinagar Lok Sabha constituency, Agha Syed Ruhullah Mehdi. Abdullah, the sitting MP from Srinagar constituency, is not contesting the elections this time due to health reasons. Continuing his attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the NC leader accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his party of spreading hatred in the country. He said Modi has forgotten the issues that propelled him to the top post in 2014. Abdullah said, ‘He no longer talks about inflation etc.’
