(Pooja Prasad):
Some stories seem like dreams, but behind these stories there is tireless hard work which is usually not visible from far away. The journey of just 24 year old Shaili Balchandani is interesting and also full of hard work. Shelly was recently seen in the campus special of the TV show Shark Tank India where she pitched in for funding. She makes hair clip in extensions, toppers, bangs and colorful streaks and also makes all types of wigs. His startup now brings in an annual revenue of around Rs 1.2 crore and the sales of his products in the last year i.e. 2021-22 were around Rs 36 lakh. It will seem like a small product to you and you will be surprised that it is earning so much from it. The story behind it is interesting and so is the story of Shaili herself.
After all, why did Shaili start the business of hair clip-ins and extensions? Once at a wedding, a woman covered her hair with a dupatta repeatedly and the dupatta repeatedly slipped from her head. The woman was getting worried again and again because when the scarf slipped from her head, thin hair would be visible and the woman would feel very awkward. Uneasiness and lack of confidence can be clearly seen in them. When Shaili asked her why she was covering her hair, it came to light that she was suffering from hair fall. The woman was feeling extremely embarrassed. Shelly advised her to use hair extensions to increase the density of her hair and also increase its length. But then it was discovered that the extensions were of poor quality and very expensive. It was from here that Shaili felt that she should start her own brand of hair extensions. She wanted to use 100% real human hair in it which was also cheap. (Must read this – Girls, don’t hesitate, start investing, money will not be lost, these 3 options will give high returns)
Today she runs her own business called The Shell Hair where she not only sells bands but also colorful streaks. He started his work with just Rs 2000. Shaili is still studying, she is studying MSc IT. He started his work at the age of 20. Shaili, a resident of Ajmer, spent Rs 2000 for the first time in Jaipur. I bought hair and made some extensions myself on a sewing machine and sold them to relatives. When they got good feedback, they created a website from where they started getting good orders.
