Secretary of Dewas Corporation Athletic Association Manoj Singh and District Magistrate of Sports and Youth Welfare Department Hemant Suvir said that on the occasion of International Women’s Day on March 8, 800 meters race was organized at Kushabhau Thackeray Stadium. In which girls and women of Dewas district participated. At the beginning of the race, the women were introduced by Secretary Manoj Singh, Renu Singh Anupam and Toppo Raju Srivastava. Chanchal Tiwari stood first in women’s category in 800 meters race. Apart from this, Shashi Verma stood first in the girl’s category. Abhilasha Yadav got second position. Tejaswini Tiwari stood third. Ajay Singh Rathod, Shubham Patel, Ankit Amjaria of the Corporation were present at the beginning of this competition to boost the morale of the players.
100 meter race organized, winning girls honored
On the occasion of Women’s Day, 100 meters race was organized to honor the strong women of the city. Coach Jitendra Goswami told that the program started with the melodious voice of Anvesha Tiwari. The first 100 meter race was organized at Kushabhau Thackeray Stadium. In which many girls were winners. Former Mayor Rekha Verma, BJP Mahila Mandal President Manisha Bapna, Amita Mangla, Patwari Seema Giri, Meena Rau, Sonam Saluja, Mona Tiwari, Dr. Ishmita Chaudhary, Patwari Aarti Dayma, teacher Shreeja Agarwal, Anshuman Khatarkar were welcomed with a wreath. And respected. The esteemed ladies present honored the winning girls Sunita, Poonam, Vanshika, Doli, Monika, Nikita, Saloni, Anmol, Sheetal, Tanu, Meenakshi, Archana, Payal, Deepika with medals. Certificates distributed to more than 150 women

With the aim of making women self-reliant and providing opportunities to their creativity, basic vocational training programs were conducted by Nehru Yuva Kendra Dewas in 4 villages of the district. More than 150 women received training in cutting and tailoring at the centers operated in Barotha of Dewas block, Kakarda of Sonkachh block, Jia of Khategaon block and Gandhinagar of Kannad block. On the occasion of Women’s Day, certificates were distributed to the trainees in the programs organized at all the four training centers. Arvind Sridhar, Deputy Director of Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan Madhya Pradesh said that this is a small step of Nehru Yuva Kendra towards self-reliant India campaign run by the Government of India. If 10-20 women out of 150 can also stand on their feet, then this training program will be meaningful. On this occasion, the trainees told in detail about the experiences of 3 months free training program.
