Australian captain Meg Lanning has benefited from his performance. She had scored 86 runs in 110 balls in the first match against England and now she has jumped two places to number two in the batsmen’s rankings. She is now one notch below top-ranked compatriot Alyssa Healy. Australian player Rachael Haynes, who scored 130 runs in 131 balls in the same match, has jumped six places to break into the top 10 and is now at number seven. Natalie Sievers, who scored a century for England in the match, has also gained five places and she has now reached the sixth position.
India has been disappointed in the ranking of batsmen. Captain Mithali Raj and Smriti Mandhana have slipped two places each to the fourth and 10th positions respectively.
In the ranking of all-rounders, Caribbean player Hayley Mathews has got a big advantage of his all-round performance. She has now jumped six places to number four, having scored 119 runs and taking two crucial wickets in the match against New Zealand. India has suffered here as well and Deepti Sharma has slipped a place to the sixth position. She is the only Indian in the top 10.
In the bowlers’ rankings, Indian pacer Jhulan Goswami continues to be fourth in the top 10. Hayley Matthews has made a big difference here as well, jumping three places to No. 10.
Apart from this, India’s Sneh Rana and Pooja Vastrakar, who stitched a 122-run partnership for the seventh wicket for India’s victory against Pakistan, have reached their career-best ranking in the batsmen’s list.
