Russia is bombing Ukrainian cities for the sixth day in a row. Russian forces have intensified attacks in Kyiv and Kharkiv. Ukraine’s ambassador to India, Dr. Igor Polikha, has compared Russia’s military campaign against his country to a ‘genocide committed by the Mughals against the Rajputs’.
Ukraine’s Ambassador to India Dr. Igor Polikha said on Tuesday, “It is like a genocide committed by the Mughals against the Rajputs. We are asking all influential leaders of the world, including PM Modi, to use every resource possible to stop the bombings and shootings against Russian President Vladimir Putin.”
Dr. Igor Polikha said, “It’s been 6 days since Russia infiltrated Ukraine. Our army has been successful in stopping one of the most powerful armies in the world. Unfortunately, along with Russia-Ukraine soldiers, a large number of civilians are also losing their lives in this war. Polikha expressed grief over the death of Indian student Naveen Shekharappa, who lost his life in Kharkiv in firing by Russian forces. He said the attacks were earlier confined to military sites, but are now taking place in civilian areas as well.
On the other hand, European Council President Charles Michel has spoken to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. On Tuesday, Charles Michel tweeted: “Expressed our condolences on the death of an Indian student in Kharkiv today due to indiscriminate Russian attacks against innocent civilians.”
The Russian army has now started attacking the Ukrainian capital Kyiv with missiles. The Russian army is continuously attacking Kyiv. According to Ukrainian media, a missile explosion occurred right in front of the Kharkiv Oblast government headquarters. Meanwhile, Ukraine has claimed that its troops have destroyed 29 Russian fighter jets. At the same time, about 200 Russian soldiers have been arrested.
