Yamaha has launched its new wireless headphones Yamaha YH-E500A in the Indian market. Yamaha YH-E500A is an over the head headphone with wireless connectivity. Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) has been given with Yamaha YH-E500A. 38 hours of backup has been claimed regarding its battery. The Yamaha YH-E500A can also be used with wire (aux). For this, it also has a 3.5mm headphone jack. The MRP of Yamaha YH-E500A is Rs 14,800 but it can be bought from Amazon India for Rs 11,990. Let’s know in the review how is the Yamaha YH-E500A?
Yamaha YH-E500A Review: SpecificationsThe body of the Yamaha YH-E500A is made of plastic and the earcups are made of silicone. The Yamaha YH-E500A is powered by a 40mm dynamic driver and has a frequency range of 20Hz-20kHz. For connectivity, Bluetooth V5.0 has been given in it. Apart from this, it has support for codecs like SBC, AAC, Qualcomm aptX, Qualcomm aptX HD. The battery has been claimed to have a backup of 38 hours and the charging time is 3.5 hours.
Along with this, special listening care has also been given, which you can turn on or off through the Headphones Controller app. It also gets ANC. There is also support for Google Assistant and Apple Siri with headphones. Along with this, a carry bag, USB Type-C cable and a 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable will be available in the box. It competes with the kullcandy Crusher ANC which costs Rs 16,999.
Yamaha YH-E500A Review: DesignThe build quality of this Yamaha headphone is good. Good material has been used. Its fitting is a bit tight. In such a situation, you may feel a little pain after using it for a long time. Headphones can be adjusted (large-small) according to the need. Soft rexine has been used on both the earcups. People will be found on both earcups. All the buttons are given with the right earcup. There is only a 3.5mm headphone jack on the left. The total weight of Yamaha YH-E500A is 200 grams. Both earcups turn 180 degrees. You can’t fold it. Type-C charging port, volume button, power button and ANC button are provided in the right earcup. Only black option is available for colors.
Yamaha YH-E500A Review: PerformanceThere is a difference in battery level with the app and the phone. With a Bluetooth connection, the battery level shows 40 per cent, while the app says it is 21 per cent. You can also turn headphones on/off automatically with the Headphone Controller app. For this you have to make a setting. Ambient sound and noise canceling modes are available in the app.
You will hear extraneous noise when ambient sound is turned on. The difference between the Beant sound and the noise canceling mode can be clearly felt. As far as the audio quality is concerned, it gets a 40mm dynamic driver that delivers great bass.
The voice is crystal clear. The best part is that even at full volume, the sound is not bad and does not sting in the ears. The fitting of the earcups is so good that the sound does not go out even at full volume. Yamaha YH-E500A Review: Battery LifeThe company has not given information about the mAh of the battery, but its backup is good. If you do not use ANC, then in normal use you will get a backup of two days comfortably. Even after using ANC, 38-30 hours of continuous backup is available. The headphone automatically turns off during charging. It takes around 3.30 hours for the headphones to be fully charged.
