Kelong While attending the first day of the concluding occasion of Yeti Snow Festival at Sissu in Lahaul, Deputy Commissioner Lahaul Spity Rahul Kumar said that every effort is being made for a good start to promote sustainable tourism in the district and the event has been organized with a good start and the foundation of sustainable tourism has been laid which will prove to be an effort towards tourism development. Deputy Commissioner Rahul Kumar said that in the program above a month, the members of the organizing committee worked in a planned manner for which he deserves congratulations.
Deputy Commissioner Rahul Kumar said that more good programs will be added during the Snow Festival next year so that the tourism business can get more strength.
More programs will be organized to highlight various tourist destination sites in the district.
The program was initiated by the Lamas in a lawful worship, before which he also participated in the procession procession and also launched Snow Volleyball, Archery, Snow Wall Heating Competitions.
He also observed various departmental exhibitions, self -help groups’ delicious dishes and hand products stalls at the venue and called upon the tourists to encourage tourists to buy Lahuli products.
DFO Aniket Oneway, the nodal officer of the Yeti Snow Festival Organizing Committee, also honored Deputy Commissioner Rahul Kumar and Assistant Commissioner Sankalp Gautam and SDM Rajneesh Sharma wearing Himachali hats and khatak. And gave information about the outline of the program.
Rajesh Chand, an active activist of the Labrang Gompa Committee, also expressed his views and thanked for organizing the district administration and the state government as well.
During this time, Deputy Commissioner Lahuli Garafi dance- also joined Mahanati and foreign tourists also enjoyed Nati fiercely.
The artists of Lyul Sur Sangam, including the children of local Mahila Mandal and Eklavya Vidyalaya Kukkam Seri, entertained the tourists with their adorable tunes. Among the star actors, Rosie Sharma, Akash tied Saman with his adorable performances and danced a lot to the tourists. During this time hundreds of tourists including local people also enjoyed the festival.
