Jodhpur. In line with Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma’s visionary thinking and public health, the International Yoga Day will be celebrated enthusiastically in the district on 21 June 2025. This year’s theme will be organized by keeping public awareness in the center under “Ek Earth, one Earth, One Health”.
On this occasion, collective yoga sessions will be organized by the district administration on this occasion from 6:00 am to 8:00 am at three major sites of Jodhpur – Mehrangarh Fort, Mandore Udyan and Emperor Ashok Udyan. A detailed coordination meeting was held on Wednesday under the chairmanship of District Collector Gaurav Aggarwal to organize the event systematically and effectively.
Work division and arrangements clear
In the meeting, all the concerned departments were entrusted with responsibilities. Collector Aggarwal directed that all necessary arrangements like yoga mats, LED screens, mic arrangements, coolers, drinking water, first aid, parking and hygiene should be ensured at every site.
He clarified that proper arrangements should be made for the live address of Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi from 6:30 am to 7 am and there should not be any technical obstacle.
Departmental participation and public participation will be important
Aggarwal directed all the heads of departments to essentially participate in the yoga program, all the officers and employees of their subordinate. Apart from this, programs should also be prepared at schools, colleges, Ayush health centers, panchayat buildings, and village level sites across the district.
He said that Yoga Day is not just an event, but a mass movement towards public health. It should be taken as a mission and more and more citizens should be linked to it.
Extensive event should also be held in rural areas
It was also directed by the administration that the yoga program should be organized with the participation of the community at the district level as well as the block and gram panchayat level, so that the access of yoga could be ensured to the last person.
All the district level officers including Dr. Dheeraj Kumar Singh, Chief Executive Officer of Zilla Parishad were present in the meeting. Everyone assured full dedication and cooperation for the success of the event.
