You will get relief from white spots and sugar, this rare medicinal plant was found in Bihar, know its miraculous benefits

Went: A treasure of medicines that control diabetes has been found on Brahmayoni mountain in Gaya district. A research team from Delhi studied it and found that Gymnema Sylvestre, commonly known as Gudmar, found on this hill, has a unique ability to control a disease like diabetes. Gymnemic acid found in Gudmar has a special ability to reduce blood sugar. These medicinal properties are helpful in controlling lipid profile along with medicines like BGR-34.

In 2022, AIIMS, New Delhi confirmed in a study that BGR-34 is effective not only in controlling blood sugar but also in reducing obesity. The flavonoids and saponins present in gurmar regulate lipid metabolism. Flavonoids have antioxidant properties, while saponins reduce cholesterol. This plant is also the main component of the drug BGR-34 developed by CSIR.

It is a panacea for diabetes patients
According to research, gymnemic acid fills the receptors in the outer layer of the intestine, which reduces the desire to eat sweets and reduces the absorption of sugar molecules, which reduces the level of sugar in the blood. This medicine is highly effective for diabetes patients. Along with Gurmar, research is also going on on other plants like Pithecellobium Dulse and Ziziphus Jujuba.

white spots will disappear
Gaya’s Civil Surgeon Dr. Ranjan Kumar Singh said that gurmar has medicinal properties, and consuming its leaves reduces the amount of sugar in the blood. This medicine is also used in Ayurveda. Apart from this, grinding the root of gurmar and applying it on white spots can eliminate white spots. This plant also has anti-inflammatory, anti-diabetic and anti-worm properties, which are helpful in killing the worms present in the stomach. The research team believes that to save these herbal plants from extinction, local people should be encouraged to conserve and cultivate them.
