When a person gets fever, he is given paracetamol tablet according to body weight. In case of cough, cough tablet or syrup is given. Anti-allergic medicines are given for cold. Steam can be taken to get relief from cold and Lorenz can be taken for sore throat. Usually viral infection gets cured in a week. However, for quick recovery, one should consult a doctor and take medicine.
How to identify bacterial infection?
According to the doctor, in case of bacterial infection, people’s fever does not subside even after taking paracetamol and their health keeps deteriorating. If a person has fever continuously for 4-5 days, then he should consult a doctor and get himself examined. In case of bacterial infection, antibiotics have to be given so that the person can recover. Apart from this, cough syrup is given for cough. Bacterial infection lasts for a long time and it does not get cured without antibiotics.
