- First of all, search on your mobile phone or computer.
- Go to the website ceir.gov.in/Device/CeirIMEIVerification.jsp in the Google browser of your mobile or laptop.
- Now fill your mobile number here.
- Now an OTP will be sent to your mobile number.
- Complete the verification process by filling the OTP.
- Now fill your IMEI number.
- If your IMEI number shows block here or nothing is shown then you can understand that the phone is fake.
Can also be identified through message
You can also identify whether your phone is real or fake through messages. For this you will have to go to the message box. Here you have to write KYM. Now write the 15 digit IMEI number by giving space. Now send this message to 14422. Now you will get the details of that IMEI number.
Check fake phone with app
- Go to Google Play Store on your mobile and install the KYM – Know Your Mobile app.
- On opening the app, you will be asked to fill the 15 digit IMEI number on the new page.
- As soon as you click the submit button, you will see the brand, model number and many other details of that mobile.
- If you do not know the details of that IMI number, then understand that your mobile will be blocked.
