Jodhpur. Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma said that the convocation for students is not just a memory, but a milestone that decides the future direction. The graduate leaving from here is the youth power that will play a leading role in fulfilling the resolution of developed India-developed Rajasthan. He said that our government recognizes the power of energy and innovation of youth. We are continuously investing in the field of technology, startups and education so that the youth get a lot of employment opportunities in each field. He called upon the youth to never stop learning, never stop dreaming and adopt the spirit of ‘India I’ in every decision.
Sharma was addressing the 11th convocation of IIT, Jodhpur in Jodhpur on Thursday. He congratulated the students and medal winners who have received all the degrees and said that you have illuminated the name of the society with parents by completing education with hard work, dedication and dedication. He said that IIT Jodhpur is one of the prestigious institutions in India. This institute is known for its education and research in the fields of computer science, data science, AI, electrical, mechanical, bio engineering etc. IIT Jodhpur Marudhara has a shining pearl in this earth, which is spreading its glow throughout India.
Development of science and technology in Indian culture since ancient times
The Chief Minister said that the history of science and technology in Indian knowledge tradition is very rich and depth. The purpose of knowledge in ancient India was philosophy or spirituality with practical use and natural principles. He said that our sages discovered zero and laid the foundation of modern mathematics. The beginning of the decimal system and trigonometric function also developed in India. Bhaskaracharya and Varahamihira, Aryabhata and Brahmagupta contributed to the development of science and technology in the country.
State government is giving international platform to the youth talent of the state
Sharma said that our government is continuously working for providing international platforms to the knowledge and expertise of the youth and for the latest technical creation. Sharma said that by 2030, many unprecedented steps have been taken to make the state’s economy $ 350 billion. In this direction, after organizing a Rising Rajasthan Summit, MoUs of more than Rs 35 lakh crore were done and out of these, an MoU worth Rs 1.25 lakh crore has been launched on the ground. He said that there are immense potential for youth in emerging areas like energy storage, vest to energy, tourism, mining automobile and textile, AI, quantum computing and cyber security in the state.
One and a half lakh youth will be trained in 2 years
Sharma said that innovation is being made like Atal Innovation Studio and Excellent, AVGC-ExR Policy, Techbi Program, Startup Launchpad, Learn, Aron and Progress (Leap) Program, Center for Advanced Skilling to create opportunities in new technology by the state government. He said that under the State Skill Policy, one and a half lakh youth will be trained in 2 years. Also, Rajasthan Employment Policy-2025 and Vivekananda Employment Assistance Fund are also being established. He said that we have resolved to provide 6 lakh jobs in 4 lakh government and private sector. The release of recruitment calendar, organizing employment fair and campus placement has given impetus to give employment to the youth in a timely manner.
On this occasion, IIT Jodhpur’s Visitors Board President A.S. Kiran Kumar said that IIT Jodhpur is the center of innovation and excellence in Indian higher education. Today, there will be immense employment opportunities in the country and the world for the graduate students degree from here. He said that they should take the country to new heights using their knowledge and values.
In the program, the Vice Chancellor of Plaksha University Chandigarh, Prof. Rudrapratap congratulated the students who have received the degree of graduation and said that you are not only a degree holder but also the future manufacturer of India. He also emphasized on using technology for environmental protection and sustainable development to students. Director IIT Jodhpur Prof. Avinash Kumar Aggarwal also expressed his views.
During this, Sharma conferred the degree to the students who passed the graduation examination from IIT Jodhpur Institute. Also, the meritorious students passed in various courses of the institute were presented gold medals and prizes in various categories. Professor Ashutosh Sharma (former Secretary DST, Government of India), Vipin Sondhi (former MD Ashok Lalend), Dr. VK Saraswat (Member NITI Aayog) were awarded honorary degrees.
On this occasion, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Jogaram Patel, Minister of State for Industries K.K. Vishnoi, MLA Babusinh Rathore, Bhairaram Seoul, Deputy Director of IIT Jodhpur Prof. A large number of university teachers, students and parents were present including Bhavani Kumar Shatapathy.
