Mount Abu, situated at an altitude of twelve hundred and twenty meters above sea level, is also considered to be the heaven of Rajasthan. Mount Abu was identified as a hill station in the British period. After which Mount Abu was the British favorite place to avoid the summer of the plains of Rajasthan under British rule. On the other hand, due to the mythological significance of Mount Abu, it has been the abode of saints from the beginning. Nakki lake
There is a Nakki Lake located in the Aravalli ranges in Mount Abu which is also locally known as Nakki Lake. This lake is considered as heaven for nature lovers, because this lake, filled with amazing natural activities, is actually the most prominent attraction of Mount Abu. Nakki Lake is the first man -made lake in India with a depth of about 11,000 meters and width is one mile. Located in the center of Mount Abu, this attractive lake is surrounded by green mountains, forests and strange shape rocks. Mount Abu’s flying winds and boating in soothing temperature will make your heart happy. It is said that in Nakki Lake, Mahatma Gandhi’s ashes was immersed on 12 February 1948 and after that Gandhi Ghat was built here. This lake is a very popular place for nature lovers and photography enthusiasts.
Guru Shikhar
Guru Shikhar is the highest peak of the Aravalli range which is located about 15 km from Mount Abu. The height of this peak is the height of the Satra hundred meters above the sea level, due to which the Aravalli range and a very attractive view of the hill station of Mount Abu is seen from here. At this place, the Abu Vidhashala and the cave temple of Guru Dattatreya which is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The Observatory has an 112 -meter infrared telescope. After 15 km drive, you have to climb a few stairs to go to the Guru Shikhar. If you go to this place during October and November, then there is a lot of cloud and mist here. Tourists visiting here feel as if they are going to the Guru Shikhar with the help of clouds because the mist is seen all around. This place makes the minds of tourists visiting here happy.
Achalgarh Fort
Achalgarh Fort, located at a distance of 11 km from Mount Abu, is one of the famous forts of Rajasthan. Achalgarh village is a picturesque village in Mount Abu which is famous for Achalgarh Fort, Achleshwar Temple and historic Jain temples. The premises of the fort are famous Shiva Temple, Achleshwar Mahadev Temple and Mandakini Lake. A statue of Nandi ji is also installed in the center of Achleshwar Mahadev, which is made up of 5 metals like bronze, gold, zinc, copper and brass. History lovers as well as a famous site for pilgrims to visit Achalgarh Fort. Where many historical remains and old temples of great religious importance remain the center of attraction for tourists. The Achalgarh Fort was originally built during the reign of the Paramara dynasty, and some time Maharana Kumbha was renovated by the Achalgarh Fort in 1452 with the aim of monitoring every queer of enemies. Which was one of the 32 forts made during his reign. And after some time, a Jain temple was also constructed inside the fort.
Tod Rock View Point
Todd Rock View Point is located near Nakki Lake which shows you a panoramic view of the entire lake and the surrounding area. The place is named due to a naturally made stone which resembles a turtle from the edge. This rock clearly resembles a toad and hence it is named “Todd Rock”. Some people believe that it is actually named after Colonel Todd, an officer of the British Army, who is credited with the discovery of Mount Abu. The path of Tod Rock starts from near the Nakki lake and has to climb 250 stairs to reach the top.
Dilwara Jain Temple
Dilwara Jain Temple is the most popular and beautiful pilgrimage site of Jains situated among the Aravalli hills of Rajasthan. This temple was built by Vastupal and Tejpal between the 11th and 13th centuries. The Dilwara Temple is famous for its complex carvings and marble structure. This temple appears very simple from outside, but when you see this temple from inside, it will be attracted to the designs made on its roof, walls, arches and columns. Apart from being a pilgrimage site of Jains, this temple is a magical structure made of marble, which attracts everyone.
Peace Park
The two famous peaks of the Aravalli ranges are situated between Guru Shikhar and Achalgarh, Peace Park, which is a part of the establishment of Brahma Kumaris. This park provides a peaceful environment and a relaxed life in a beautiful background along with a peaceful environment and a shrill environment. Mount abu sanctuary

Red temple
This temple, located near the Delwara Jain temple, is dedicated to Lord Shiva. This temple provides a very peaceful environment and is considered to be the oldest of all the holy sites located in Mount Abu. The fact behind the name of this ‘Lal Temple’ is the fact that all its walls are painted in red. This place is definitely worth seeing in Mount Abu for devotees and tourists who have religious faith. This temple is quite popular due to being ‘Swayambhu Shiva Temple’. This was named this because the idol of the iconic Shiva Lord in this temple can be seen wearing Janeu.
