Prem – The simple as this word looks, the more widespread and mysterious depth. The concepts about love in the world are as many types of experiences. Some consider love to renounce, some attract it with attraction, and some connect with selfishness. But what is the true form of love? This question has been a matter of thinking of saints, thinkers and spiritual gurus over years. Rajneesh Osho’s approach in this regard is considered to be the most different, dark and experienced.
What is not love according to Osho
In the eyes of Osho, love is not what most people understand. He says – “What we call love is mostly aroused by fear, is full of selfishness. Some love to eradicate loneliness, no one to get support. It is not love, business.” The love that we consider based on ‘Conditional’ i.e. the conditions – like ‘If you love me, I will also do it’, Osho considers him a shadow of love. According to him, true love is unconditional, which is not expected, only has to be given. True love does not ask, it flows.
Definition of true love
According to Osho, true love is the one who gives complete freedom. In which there is no desire to tie anyone, nor to establish authority over anyone. True love has neither jealousy nor comparison, nor ownership. This is the love in which the souls of both individuals are independent, but still they are deeply connected to each other. Osho says, “Love is when two independent souls understand each other, give respect and support each other’s freedom.”
Signs of true love
1. Approval of freedom
There is no bond in true love. Love does not mean imprisoning anyone. If you really love someone, then adopt it with his freedom. According to Osho, “Where there is bondage, there cannot be love.”
2. Approval and Honor
In love, the person has to accept as he is. The desire to change or control it is not a love, but a form of selfishness. True love teaches to accept without any condition.
3. Naturalism and ease
There is no pretense in true love. There is no need to prove anything there. It is comfortable – Just as the flower smells, so love flows from the mind.
4. Not surrender, understanding
Osho considers love to be different from blind dedication. He says that true love is possible only when you understand yourself first. Love becomes confusion without self-knowledge.
5. Neither expectation, nor pain
According to Osho, there is no expectation in love. Pain is born only by expectation. Where there is true love, there is no sorrow because there is a feeling of giving, not to take it.
Osho’s love impact on life
Osho connected love with ‘spiritual development’ with his thoughts. According to him, love is the ladder that leads the person to meditation. When you love – without expectation, without selfishness, then you reach a state of easy meditation. Love and meditation, according to Osho, have two flights of the soul – one inward and the other outward.
Why is Osho’s love darshan in today’s era?
In today’s digital and busy era, where relationships form quickly and break quickly, Osho’s love philosophy is like a light. He teaches us that it is important to understand and love ourselves before getting love. When you learn to love yourself, only then you are able to love others unconditionally.
According to Osho, true love is the state of the soul – it is not an external, internal experience. This is a flower that blooms when the mind is clean, thought -free and full of love. Osho’s message is clear – love, but don’t be a bandan. Love, but do not control. Love, but first know yourself. Sachaa love is the one who frees the soul, not hold. And this is the definition of love of Osho – a situation where there is love and freedom.
