But not all people have enough money to get health insurance. The government provides assistance to such poor and needy people. The Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Yojana is being run by the Government of India for free treatment.
Under which the beneficiaries get free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh. But free treatment is not available only through this scheme. Free treatment schemes are also run by the state governments. The Chief Minister Chiranjeevi Yojana is run by the Government of Rajasthan. Therefore, Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Ayushman Yojana has also been started in Chhattisgarh. Under which millions of people will be treated free of cost.
The BJP government has returned after the elections in Chhattisgarh. Earlier, there was a Congress government in Chhattisgarh. The Congress launched Dr. Khubchand Baghel Health Assistance Scheme in Chhattisgarh. Under which the beneficiaries are given free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh. The BJP government has changed the name of this scheme to Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Yojana. However, let us tell you that at present there has been no change in the amount of profit in the scheme. Before the election, the BJP had said in its manifesto that after the election, the benefit of free treatment of Rs 5 lakh will be increased to Rs 10 lakh.
Let us tell you that under the Chief Minister Ayushman Arogya Yojana of Rajasthan, the biggest health scheme run by any state government is given free treatment up to Rs 25 lakh. Under this scheme, beneficiaries can avail free treatment in any government and non-government hospitals. Currently, registration under this scheme is going on. Registration will be free till 31 January 2025. Not only this, the general public also gets the benefit of this scheme of Rajasthan government, although they have to pay some amount as premium.
