To make apple chutney you need-
4 medium sized apples
1 tbsp ghee
1 pinch cinnamon powder
2 star anise
1 tablespoon grated ginger
1 teaspoon red chilli
1 teaspoon fennel
1 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon jaggery
a pinch of ground black pepper
half teaspoon vinegar
salt to taste
How to make tasty chutney from apple
To make apple chutney, first peel the apple and cut it into small pieces. Then heat oil in a vessel and add mustard seeds in it. When the seeds start crackling, add ginger to it. Fry for some time and then add apples. Now add chili flakes, cinnamon powder, ground black pepper, garam masala, salt. Then mix it well and cover the pan. Cover and cook until the apples are soft, at least 15 minutes. Check occasionally and keep stirring so that the apples do not stick to the bottom. When they become soft, remove the lid. Add vinegar and jaggery in it. Mix it well and then cook until the jaggery dissolves. Now turn off the flame. Let the chutney reach room temperature. Then store in an airtight container or glass jar. This chutney tastes very good with paratha.
