Face is our identity. It makes our personality different from others. That is why when it comes to grooming, most attention goes to the face. Threading, facial, clean up, face pack… everything is applied on the face which makes the face glow. Seeing social media and Korean dramas, people are now adopting a skin care routine in which the focus is only on the face. The area below the neck is completely ignored.
forget to wash your hands
It is most important to wash hands with soap before starting a skin care routine. But people forget to do this. There are many bacteria on hands which can harm the face. At the same time, even when cosmetics are taken out of a tube or bottle, its base should not be touched with hands. Always remove the product with cotton.
Facial skin routine not in the right order
Beauty expert Sabrina Khan says that there are many steps in a skin care routine. If these are done in the right order, the skin glows. Most people do not know the right steps of skin care. Skin care routine starts with pre-cleanse. First remove makeup from the face and then wash the face. After this, cleanse the face. The third step is exfoliate. This regenerates skin cells and removes dullness of the face but do this step only twice a week. After this, apply face mask according to the skin type but only 2 to 3 times a week. Tone the skin with toner. Then apply vitamin C serum. After this, apply eye cream. This will prevent dryness around the eyes. Then moisturize the entire face. Lastly, apply sunscreen.

Pay attention to the lower part of the face as well
Dermatologist Dr. A.K. Bharija says that people moisturize their face daily but ignore the rest of the body. Often people get dry patches on the back, waist, hands or stomach because the rest of the part remains dry. This is because the face is visible to everyone but the rest of the parts are covered by clothes. This is wrong. Skin is the largest organ of our body and it is important to follow a skin routine for the rest of the parts just like the face. If there is dryness, acne or sunburn on the skin, then it is visible on the rest of the parts along with the face. It is important to moisturize every day to keep the skin hydrated. It repairs the skin barrier and does not let the skin become dry.
A good bath is a must
Skin care routine starts with bathing. Some people bathe twice a day and rub soap on the skin every day. But using soap every day is not good for the skin. It absorbs moisture from the skin and makes it dry and lifeless. People who already have dry skin or eczema should avoid soap. Soap does remove dirt and excess oil from the skin but it also breaks the skin protection barrier, making the skin sensitive. Some studies have accepted that one should bathe with soap only 2 or 3 times a week. But you can apply soap on hands, underarms and genital area every day. Dr. Bharija says that if the skin is dry, then one should bathe with body wash and if it is oily, then one should bathe with shower gel. Some people bathe with antibacterial soap but this soap harms the good bacteria of the skin, so this should also not be used.

Sunscreen should be applied for 12 months
Most people ignore sunscreen. Sunscreen not only protects the skin from the ultra violet rays of the sun, but also prevents aging. People who apply sunscreen every day do not get wrinkles on their face quickly. It is necessary to apply sunscreen 365 days. It also protects the skin from the blue light emitted from mobile and laptop. Actually, blue light affects the skin just like the UV range. Always choose sunscreen according to your skin type. Gel or matte sunscreen is best for oily skin. Apply cream or lotion on dry skin and matte sunscreen on combination skin. The skin complexion of most Indians is not fair. SPF 15 and 30 should be applied on such skin.
keep the phone away from your face
While talking on a call, the mobile touches the face. This can also make the face lose its glow even after following a skin routine. According to the US National Library of Medicine, many bacteria stick to the mobile screen which cause acne when they come in contact with the facial skin. These have been named ‘cell phone acne’. Therefore, everyone should sanitize the mobile screen once a week.
