Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said in Parliament on Friday that tickets purchased from the ticket counter can be canceled online through IRCTC website or inquiry number 139, but will have to go to the Railway Reservation Center to get the amount. BJP MP Medha Vishram Kulkarni had questioned whether it is necessary to go to the station before leaving the train to cancel the ticket. But do you know that the railway ticket purchased at the counter can also be canceled online.
Many million people travel by Indian rail every day. Nowadays most people buy online passenger tickets from IRCTC website or other app or website. Nevertheless, even today there are many people who go to the counter and buy rail tickets. But now you know that you can cancel the railway ticket taken from the counter online.
