Chaitra Navratri 2022 Sabudana Khichdi Recipe: Chaitra Navratri has great significance in Hinduism. This year, this nine-day festival of faith and belief will be celebrated from April 02 to April 11. During Navratri, for nine days, the devotees of Mata try to please the nine forms of Maa Durga by worshiping her methodically. During the fast, the devotees of Mata include some such things in their diet to eat fruits which help them to remain energetic throughout the day. One such dish is named Khichdi made from Sabudana. So let’s know about what is late, how this tasty khichdi is made.
Ingredients for making Sabudana Khichdi-
– Sabudana – 1 cup
Potato – 1 (chopped)
Lemon juice – two spoons
Peanuts – a quarter cup
Almonds – 5-6 (chopped)
-Curry leaves – 5-6
Green chili – 1 (chopped)
Mustard seeds – half teaspoon
Rock salt – as per taste
– Ghee – 1 tsp
– Black pepper – 2-3
How to make Sabudana Khichdi –
To make sago khichdi, first soak the sago in water for 4-5 hours. After 4 to 5 hours, with the help of a sieve, remove all the water from the soaked sago in water. After this, heat the pan, add ghee, mustard seeds, peanuts and almonds and fry it for 3-4 minutes. Now add curry leaves and green chilies to it, after frying for 1 to 2 minutes, add potatoes to it. Now add salt, pepper and a little water to it and mix it well.
Now cover this khichdi with a lid so that the potatoes get cooked easily. When the potatoes are cooked well, then add sabudana to it, mix it well and close the lid and let it cook on low flame for 3-4 minutes. Your sabudana khichdi is ready. Garnish it with green coriander and serve.
