Dial 108 is an emergency number, which is a lifeline for an injured person. But just think, when someone misuses this number, asks alcohol or calls an ambulance for recharge, is he only misusing the number or playing with someone’s life? What is happening in 108 call centers in Madhya Pradesh is shocking, about 200 fake calls are coming every hour.
An injured person calls 108 with expectation, but in our democratic India it has also become a hub of gambling, abuses and gossip. Somebody asks – “Brother, will you send alcohol?” Some orders – “Recharge the phone!”
And someone is so emotional that with love calls a thousand times from the same number. To say this is 108 helpline, but in Madhya Pradesh this entertainment has become 108. Every day around 4400 people complain on this number. Nobody had a heart attack. But in every call, the system is definitely attacked.

Tarun Parihar, senior manager of Dial 108 service, says that “some people bother by unnecessarily call, some silent calls come, many children come. Some people also speak abusive language on the phone. In this way, there are many miscreants calls at our call center, which causes problems for common citizens and people working in the call center, problems of common people, if there is more trouble for the common people. That in the morning, there are more rigorous calls.

Every fake call not only makes the phone busy, but also closes the door for a needy. The first response to the accident decides whether someone’s life will be saved or not. In such a situation, if the ambulance reaches even a minute late, then someone can die. Dr. Prabhakar Tiwari, Senior Joint Director of the National Health Mission, told us that “ambulances are our first response. In cases of accident and trauma, we talk of 10 minutes nowadays Golden Hour or Platinum. The sooner our services will reach them, the sooner we will be able to save our lives. If the ambulance does not reach, the person tries to go from another vehicle in a hurry.” Ambulances usually work to save lives, if the ambulance reaches even a minute late, it can prove to be fatal.
Something similar happened in Seoni
In Saliwada village of Seoni district of Madhya Pradesh, villagers found a new way of shaking the administration – where there are no roads, drains and there is no water in the drains, there is the intention of the administration to flow. The rain came, the road was washed away. The villagers tried hard to give papers, give memorandum, kept running, the slippers of the officers were dragged. But the system is so busy that he does not listen.
The villagers decided- “Now you will not see the memorandum … will see the spectacle now”. So sir … a false news was spread that a pregnant woman has suddenly started suffering from childbirth in the village. The health department team immediately left with an ambulance. But as soon as we reached near the village, the flood -filled, incomplete canal was standing in front, the construction work of the administration was standing where it was released in 2019.
The team asked on the phone –
“Bring Behenji beyond, we can’t come …”
So the answer came from there –
“Behenji is fine, in fact, Behenji’s pain … is not …
We wanted to awaken your pain. “
And like … that “childbirth” actually turned out to be the childbirth of administrative insensitivity. The next day when the water was reduced, the team reached the village on foot, and it was found out that all this was an inspired mischief. Some people are considering 108 as radio stations. So somewhere the villages have to make theater to show the administration.
