The word “Balaayam” is made up of “Baal” and “Abhyaas”, which means the practice of hair. This yoga does not require any special posture. It is very easy to do, and can be done anywhere. For this, the nails of the fingers of both hands have to be rubbed together. This is a type of “pressure point therapy”, in which pressure is applied on the nerves located under the nails.

Expert Dr. Dipankar believes that rubbing the finger nails during Balayam yoga increases blood circulation in the veins of the head, which provides more nutrition to the hair roots. This can reduce hair fall and help in growing new hair. Apart from this, it also helps in strengthening the hair follicles located in the scalp.

For how long should one do balayam
Experts suggest that Balayam yoga can be done for 5-10 minutes every day. There is no specific time to do it, but doing it in the morning or evening can be more beneficial. Gradually you can increase its time.

Although scientific evidence related to Balayam yoga is still limited, many people claim positive results after adopting it. According to experts, it is a simple and natural method, which can be done in combination with other treatments. Balayam yoga can improve hair health, but it is not a complete solution to hair problems.
