The alphabet indicates the expiration date

The expiry date of a gas cylinder is mentioned in alphabetical order. You must have seen A23, B23 and C24 written on your domestic cylinder. In this, A means the month of January to March. Similarly, the symbol B indicates the month of April to June. C indicates the months from July to September and D indicates the months from October to December. The numbers written before the alphabet (23,24) indicate the year.

Due to which the cylinder blasts

Actually, if LPG gas is put back into the cylinder after it is over, it will not be able to withstand the pressure of the gas. Due to which the heat starts increasing and sometimes the cylinder explodes due to being close to fire. Although the expiry date of the cylinder is written on it, most of the consumers are not aware of it.
