Foods Not To Eat Empty Stomach: Good food is very important to keep the body healthy and strong. Healthy foods improve digestion and provide essential nutrients for health. Eating some foods on an empty stomach after waking up in the morning is considered beneficial as it provides energy for the whole day. However, there are many foods which can cause problems if consumed on an empty stomach. Yes, there are some foods which can cause indigestion and acid reflux problems if eaten on an empty stomach. These foods should always be eaten in the afternoon or evening.

According to a TOI report, sour fruits should not be consumed on an empty stomach in the morning. These fruits are acidic and can increase stomach irritation or acidity if eaten on an empty stomach. These things can damage the stomach lining and if consumed in excess, they can also cause stomach ulcers. Many people may have problems eating curd early in the morning. Curd contains probiotics, which can cause gas or bloating on an empty stomach. Instead of these, gram flour chilla, oats, porridge or any light breakfast is considered safer for the stomach and full of energy.

Most people start their day with coffee, but doing so can be considered harmful. Coffee is acidic and can stimulate acid production in the stomach. Drinking coffee on an empty stomach can cause some people to have heartburn, acid reflux or gastritis. To reduce the acidity of coffee, it is considered okay to drink coffee with breakfast. Cold drinks or energy drinks should also not be consumed on an empty stomach in the morning, as consuming them can cause stomach discomfort and trigger acidity.

One should avoid eating sweets on an empty stomach in the morning, because doing so can increase the blood sugar level rapidly. This will give you energy initially, but after that you may feel tired throughout the day. This should be avoided so that you can remain full of energy throughout the day. Eating fried and spicy foods on an empty stomach can affect the digestive system and increase the problem of gas or pain. Drinking alcohol on an empty stomach can increase pressure on the liver and can cause dehydration in the body. Alcohol is very dangerous for the liver because it contains alcohol.
