First step- Banyan and Puaye are prepared with flour. For this, you have to take about 2 cups of wheat flour. Sieve the dough and add 1 teaspoon of desi ghee to it. Now you have to dissolve jaggery or sugar in water. Keep in mind that the water is dissolved in it.
Second step- To put it in the pu, remove 2-3 cardamom peel and grind it in flour. If you want, you can also add some ground fennel and coconut. Now add sugar and jaggery solution to it and knead a flour like normal roti. If sweet water is less then you can also add some normal water to it.
Third step- Take care, to make Puay and Banyan, you do not have to knead too much sweet flour. With this, the pues will start breaking as soon as you put it in the pan and you will have trouble baking them. After kneading the dough, make the first banyan fruit like shape banyan. They have to be prepared in small modak -like shape.
Fourth step- Bake them on medium flame in desi ghee or oil. After pouring the banyan, bake for a while without shaking. Now roll the remaining dough and make it in a small way like shape.
