Grow green chillies in a pot at home

When it comes to chillies, the first word that comes out of people’s mouth is ‘ufff’. Without chillies, the taste of food seems bland. The colour and spiciness of green chillies doubles the taste of food. It contains many types of nutrients like Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Iron, Potassium, Protein, Copper, Carbohydrates, which are beneficial for health. During rainy season, the price of green chillies in the market starts skyrocketing. In such a situation, to avoid the impact of inflation, you can plant green and red chilli plants in pots in your garden. Let’s know how to grow chillies in a pot at home.

Follow these tips:

Select a big pot: To grow chillies, first of all select a big and deep pot which has enough space to grow the chillies.

Make compost: After selecting the pot, choose the compost. To make compost, mix soil, sand and cow dung together. This will increase the fertility of the soil and provide nutrition to the plants. Now put this soil in the pot.

Planting Chilli: Now plant the chilli seeds in the soil about 2 inches deep and irrigate it with water.

Sunlight is important: Keep in mind that your plant needs 6 to 8 hours of sunlight. So choose a sunny place for the pot. The plant can germinate in 10 days. After germination, add less water.

Irrigation and care: Irrigate the chillies regularly with water and apply fertilizer again after a month. This will keep the plants healthy and strong. And chillies will start coming in a few months.
