Once Lord Shiva, Mother Parvati and Narada came out to visit together and reached a village while walking. This day was the Tritiya Tithi of Chaitra Shukla Paksha. As soon as the villagers received the news of his arrival, everyone started preparing to welcome God. First of all, the poor women of that village came to the plate to welcome them with turmeric and rice. Mata Parvati was pleased and showered honeymoon juice on them. After some time, rich women took various types of dishes in the gold and silver plate and reached Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati. Seeing these women, Lord Shiva asked Goddess Parvati that you have given all the honeymoon to poor women.
Now what will you give them? Mata Parvati said that I have given the juice made of upper substances to those women. Now I will give the boon of honey to these women by cutting my finger and spraying blood. Mother Parvati blessed women to abandon clothes, jewelery and external fascination and serve her husband with body, mind and wealth. They will get unbroken good fortune. After this incident, Mother Parvati went to bathe in the river with permission from Lord Bholenath. After bathing, the mother made an idol of Lord Shiva with sand and worshiped it. By offering bhog and pradakshina, took two grains of prasad and applied tilak on the forehead. It took Parvati ji a long time to do all this. When she returned, Mahadev ji asked her the reason for the delay.
Parvati ji lied that she met her maternal uncle there. He was too late while talking to them. But Mahadev was Mahadev. They were all understanding. So he asked- ‘Parvati! What did you offer by worshiping on the banks of the river and what offerings did you eat? ‘ Parvati ji again lied- ‘My sister fed me milk.’ Hearing this, Shiva also expressed his desire to eat milk and rice and he walked towards the river. Parvati ji got into a dilemma. Then he meditated on Lord Bhole Shankar in his mind and prayed- Lord! If I am your exclusive maid, please save my shame.
While praying, Parvati ji continued behind Lord Shiva. He saw the palace of Maya on the banks of the river. Arriving inside the palace, he saw that Parvati’s brother, sister -in -law and his families were present there. He welcomed Gauri and Shankar. They stayed there for two days. On the third day, Parvati urged Shiva to go, but Shiva was not ready. They wanted to stop more. Then Parvati got upset and left alone. Seeing this, Lord Shiva had to go with Parvati. At this time Naradji was also with him. While walking, they went far away. Suddenly Lord Shankar remembered that he had forgotten his garland.
Mata Parvati said that she will bring the garland. But God did not allow him to leave and sent Brahma’s son Naradji for this work. Naradji did not see any palace there. Naradji started wandering there and started thinking that he did not come to the wrong place? Suddenly Naradji saw Shivji’s garland hanging on a tree. Naradji took off the garland and reached Shivji and told him the condition there.
Shivji laughed and said- ‘Narada! All this is Parvati’s Leela. Then Naradji bowed his head and said- ‘Mother! You are superior among the wives. All this is the effect of your virtue. The women of the world can achieve unbroken good fortune only by remembering your name and can create and destroy all siddhis. I am very happy to see your feeling and miraculous power. I say as a blessing that women who secretly worship their husbands and pray for their skills, they will get the longevity of the husband by the grace of Mahadevji.
